What inspired you to start Blaze.tech and focus on no-code solutions?

After the successful sale of my last company, my co-founders and I wanted to build Blaze as a solution to something we really needed at the last company. We wanted to enable people to build custom and complex apps and software without needing to know how to write any code.

The ability to empower non-technical people to build very technical apps is a massive opportunity and one that excited us. Unlike traditional no-code platforms, Blaze enables people to build highly sophisticated, scalable, and secure apps.

How do you envision Blaze changing the landscape of app development in the next 5 years?

Companies will build apps 10x faster by using Blaze. Moreover, companies with 0 software developers will be able to create applications as sophisticated, if not more, as tech companies with lots of developers. What challenges did you face in creating a no-code platform, and how did you overcome them?

In other no-code platforms, you aren’t able to build highly customized or complex apps. We wanted to be different. The challenge we overcame is having the Blaze platform be incredibly intuitive and easy-to-use, while allowing users to configure robust workflows, advanced user permissioning systems, and integrate with any kind of third-party apps.

How do you handle custom integrations with third-party APIs on Blaze?

We have a marketplace of third-party integrations that let our users easily have their Blaze app interact with other services. These integrations include DocuSign, Airtable, Dropbox, Gmail, Intercom, Sendgrid, Plaid, Stripe, Square, and many others. We have a Custom API connector that lets users set up any custom REST API integration. Blaze also has a turnkey Services team that users can leverage to fully configure third-party integrations for them.
